I have got back into fishing after 35 years away. I am looking to have a session on the Bristol Avon at Avoncliffe on Friday. I know there are a couple of BOA fishermen on here; any good tips? I am not specifically targeting Barbel but would be grateful of any hints/tips you would be prepared to pass on.
 
My wife has confirmed that this is indeed me though I have looked in the mirror and can confirm it isn’t ( now). 4//09/79, River Severn, Eardington. Not my very first but of that time. I still have that smile ( minus a few teeth ) when I land one today. Happy days,
