Autumn Barbel

TLDR: I don't get out much, and want advice on autumn Barbel fishing.

So my line of work takes me away travelling for long periods, I've just returned from 2 months in the US. So I haven't been out much at all this year.

I'd like to do a few days on the Trent this week for one last big trip before I head away again on the 30th.

Still being quite new to all this, my question is am I just worth fishing standard Trent tactics but scaled back feed wise? Was thinking pellet and boilie through the night and maggot feeder through the day.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks

In my opinion it depends what the river level is like when you go . There is some rain about so the river may be up . That would for me put the maggots plan to bed .

The water is still a decent temperature as well so feeding may not need cutting back to much 😎👍🎣hope you catch a few

Thanks mate, good advice.

I think I'm going to get on tomorrow for a couple of nights. Hopefully the rain brings it up a bit. I'll likely be on A1 section, so hopefully get one of those higher pegs.

Maggot feeder is great in cooler months when the minnows have gone into hiding….and don’t discount caster and hemp, expensive but superb tactic
