Anyone mad enough?

Has anyone been mad enough to get out in this weather we've had since the start of the year?
Looks like it's warming up over the next few days but I can't get out until about 10 days myself but looking forward to finally going. Hopefully the weather stays mild enough.

I've only been fishing three times this year. You can add another four times from Christmas Eve to New Years Eve. It may well have been more if I hadn't been herding posh chickens six times in the same period.

I’ve been out the last 2 Saturdays. On both occasions it was around -1 degrees on packing up, with my landing net frozen to the riverbank.

Saturday caught my first 5lb Chub from my local river Dane on cheese paste. Only took 36 years to catch a 5lb Chub from my local river. It was bitterly cold including dealing with frozen locks on access gates! Also discovered that friendly Robins, eat cheese paste 👍🏼

The previous weekend targeting Perch on the Severn, now that was a cold day! Float fished lobworm and lost an absolute tank of a Perch to a hook pull. That fish will haunt me for a long time, as got a good look at it and could have been my first 4lb+ Perch 😫
