Anybody have a Drennan Super Specialist Barbel Pro Power Rod

Well not a good start to the new year.

To cut a long story short I Snapped My Drennan Rod In half yesterday right on the joint, gutted.

I have / had a pair of these rods for 3 years now and love them.

Don't know / wouldn't think they are still under any sort of Guarantee

It is a Drennan Super Specialist Barbel Pro Power Rod the one that has the 1.3/4 & 2lb tops.

The tops are fine but I now need a new / used Handle / Bottom / Butt section.

If anyone has or knows of one please get in touch.

Theres a few different models James. Did yours have black duplon or cork handles? Would imagine a Drennan dealer could order you a replacement but section.

Was kinda hoping someone was unfortunate and had broken the top section and had one in there shed that they didn't need anymore and we could come to an arrangement.

So just called Drennan, no luck.

They were quite apologetic but there is nothing they can do.

These rods were discontinued about a year ago.

Because they have 2 tops people were buying just the butt section to make two rods and now they have none left.

James have you tried taking the top sections to a shop to see if the butt section from there new design fits. If so bingo they should have spares for them.....I dont expect there will be much difference between the rods.

james the best thing you can do is sell your two tips on hear or ebay someone will need them ive got a pair also and have snapped them 5 times over the years i got the last butt section from drennan they said. for 55 pounds very good rods i think
