Any truth??

As I said winners and losers then, I dont know the Eden but agree with the apparent decline in some of the others you mention.

Not brainwashed at all I just appreciate the trying circumstances the resource limited EA have to operate under and know there are some very dedicated individuals there who do their best for very little reward. I have also seen first hand some of the very good stuff they have done in the name of water quality improvement.

Why not do something positive instead of just harping on, that will change nowt.

Tony, Fred, pray do tell what I should be doing that I'm not already, thing is the EA has all its spiel pre-thoughtout and well rehearsed, the Barbel Society have as much clout as a wet kipper, actually a slap from the kipper has considerably more clout than the BS these days.

So again where and what should I go/do next??

No doubt Fred will be along to rush to the defence of the BS Colin, I wouldnt dream of doing so these days.

You do whatever you want, I just said give the EA bashing a rest, feel free to take no notice.

I think the truth is certain rivers are going to carry on declining mainly due to population increases which of course means more water being taken out of the river..No rivers are safe or imune from this happening even big rivers such as the Severn but at the moment its more noticible on smaller rivers. I can understand people saying its better to have the EA than perhaps not too but i must say that the EA are not doing as much to protect the enviroment as they are to help and indeed cloak the real villains who are legally slowly destroying it..Things will not improve untill a enviroment group who are imparcial to the government is formed and more importantly also have some clout..So in the mean time i will just carry on fishing these little trickles of water we now call rivers..:p

Craig, that line about sums it up for me and the situation as a whole because if the EA weren't pro-active in a flourishing economy they sure as hell won't be in times of resession.

Tony, its not the men in the field I have a gripe with, I don't doubt they are a genuine hard working bunch but as for the more senior figures within the agency, they're a bunch of lying self praising wastes of space.

Our rivers are on the up:rolleyes::rolleyes::

(wouldn't be so bad but its the EA's own info that tells us of their fraudulent claims, simple case of exploiting Joe public's naivety and blatant gullibleness)

Funny that report..It does not read the same as the European report on our rivers..Well below current European standards..It reminds me of when Gordon Brown and the then government said we were well prepared for the Global Economy collapse.....:rolleyes:
