Amorphous Tournament ATM13W

This rod seemingly/strangely has no markings, though upon very close inspection in a certain light you can see Tom Pickering and Amorphous Tournament though haven't managed to spot the model number. Correct me if I'm wrong but to my knowledge there was only the ATM13W and ATM13S at 13'2" with the screw in piece on the butt.

Bought from a guy this weekend who sold it as a connoisseur, something I knew instantly by the handle that it wasn't. In very very good condition as hopefully the photos will show. Sadly he'd washed the bag and shrunk it, but no marking on it anyway.

£250 ovno. Collection from Wilsden West Yorkshire or may be able to arrange some sort of meet. Listed on ebay so would unfortunately be committed on there should it receive a bid.

I spotted your eBay sale over the weekend. However, I couldn't quite see enough detail in your pictures to determine whether it's a spliced tip or not. My suspicion is that it's not, which would make it the ATM132W rather than the ATM132S. Both models were 13'2" and both had the removable bit at the very end of the butt.

The only rod with a similar configuration that I can think of was the Harrier Tournament Match HTM134 available prior to the introduction of the ATM. It was 13'4" with a Duplon handle with a short removable piece, Tournament reel seat and was only available as a hollow tipped waggler version.

Hi Chris
What year is this from? I have one of the tournament harrier rods, brought it second hand , must have been early 90s. I paid £100 , a whole weeks wages back then.

1992 I think. 265 then has got to be getting on for a grand comparatively now. Mad stuff. Good stuff though.

Not fishing then fortunately so could spend my money on important stuff like cars, women and cigars! I still miss a good smoke!

According to the Bank of England inflation calculator, £265 in 1992 equates to £545.52 in March 2023.
I bet it wouldn't be 545 quid if you totted up how many average items 265 quid bought back then, like food, fish n chips, pints, petrol etc. I'm pretty sure qualified weaving overlookers were on approx 250 a week tops then, and they were earning pretty good money, I was only an apprentice so it would have cost me three weeks wages.
