Adverts on the site ?

Hi all, just logged on and for the first time I have large banner adverts across the top of the page below the BFW logo .

Just how this has happened I do not know, I have ablockers on my Ipad amd no other websites I visit have ads .

Any ideas why ?

I don't get it on my iPad but do get the adverts on my Windows PC. Would be interested in turning it off if anyone can tell me how. I use Chrome as my browser by default.

I just looked on MS Edge browser and I don't get the adverts so must be something that needs changing in Chrome.

In chrome home screen you should see three little dots in the top right corner. Click on them and select extensions. Get free adblocker and install it. Hope that helps

Who cares? The owners of BFW need to make sure the site washes it's face. A few adverts are no skin of my nose.

This is absolutely correct!

The adverts earn us a tiny amount of revenue when they're displayed and then a bit more if they are clicked.

If you can put up with them, it helps with the running costs of the site

Please beware of any advert that says something like 'Activate Your Account' etc. I've tried turning these off but it seems it's impossible. They are nothing to do with the site!
