Abstraction Reform

If they just managed the land with a little more thought then water storage in the uplands would be just a tad more successful, simple. It's not rocket science......But farmers lose massive amounts of money if they have 'unnecessary' vegetation and are forced to clear.......vegetation is what helps the land store water though! Upto 40 odd percent more. We wouldn't have so much of an issue, rivers would regulate themselves quite nicely instead of these rapid rises and drops. All you need is a little abstraction in the horrificially low summer levels we now get and big issues occur......Doesn't help that MP ****head thinks 'rivers are for getting rid of water'....oh, and the dredging. Brilliant idea. Pfffft
