32" triangle net

I appreciate this has been done before but cant seem to find a previous thread in the search. Im Looking for a 32" triangle net that's got a good spreader block with one side of the spreader solid fixed to the net is there any out there??
Thanks in advance

fixed spreader ones make it slower, difficult to weigh fish in the landing net. The older Dinsmore ones were fixed pastic spreaders.

If you're in the market for a triangle net I recommend these:

30 plus IQ Strong Arm 30" Barbel Net

Cracking value for money and under 20 notes everywhere.

(But they have a traditional metal spreader with two brass collared ferrules along with weighting to keep the net down in flow).

With the best will in the world you really shouldn't be weighing Barbel in a landing net.

why not ?

if the fins are folded back correctly and the fish isnt bent in the net what is the problem ?

Problem is that if they become 'unfolded' the front dorsal spine gets tangled in the mesh, full weight of the fish etc etc, amazed i'm having to point this out on a Barbel site !!

I don't use the net to weigh fish just for netting but will take a look at that net Iv got a Ron Thompson net which is brilliant but just getting towards its last legs.
So on the look out before season starts.

with the best will in the world ........that could happen during the landing process

i still dont see the issue really

Chris Brown net, very strong. He has one called the "Barbel & Chub" net. I have one of these with a flowing water mesh. Really strong net indeed.

Check out his site

chris brown, well if you buy one, here's a tip
go for the solid carbon handle, if you can put up with the awful mesh.

Yeah suppose I could glue it in the Chirs brown is a bit out of my price range to be honest, I'm either picky or a decent triangular net is hard to find lol.

Your not the first person to not be a 100% happy with it. I have one but to be honest I have not used it much.

I suppose you could "Jerrymander" a Carp net down to the required size !!

True, it could,so why would you make it more likely by wrapping it it up in a landing net to weigh it when you could use a sling ?

its very easy , if you really do need to weigh a fish and dont have a sling with you . 99.9% of the time tho i do use a sling though

place the fish correctly at the bottom of the net , roll the arms down the excess net to make the whole thing a little more secure , hook through the middle of the arms and lift

it really shouldnt be a big deal

Has anyone got the fox 32" barbel specialist net??

Lovely net, a friends got one its perfect for barbelling.

Id go for the Middy IQ barbel net in the 36inch as recomended by someone earlier. I removed the lead strips as they got on my nerves, not needed.

Its perfect and cheap. Get one.

The Middy 30 inch is plenty big enough for both landing and resting fish. Had fish to over 13lb in mine, in fact it's one of the best bits of barbel tackle that I ever purchased.

I was impressed with the Middy until the thread on the spreader block sheared off flush with the end of my handle. Much to my surprise you can buy a replacement spreader block which implies there is a demand
