3 rigs - what do you reckon?

As an aside ,I note several mention of the supposed invisible qualities of flurocarbon in these rig threads , now that claim is very questionable .Fluro attracts suspended sediment like nobodys business , not invisible for long me think! .

I'm quite happy in it's reduced visibility properties and use it regularly for single maggot. 6 ft hooklength. The trouble starts if the barbel grubs around on the thick, stiff line. I've seen them shoot off like rockets with barely a tremble on the rod-tip.
However, because it lies straight and flat and has no stretch, it leads to instant hook-ups as long as you position it right at the upstream end of your baiting patch.

No need for "carp rigs"? Any rig with a hair is a carp-rig. :D

Like Simon, I like my coffe (and cigarettes), so it's simple short link bolt-rigs most of the time. Don't miss or lose many.

This is my standard rig....

The lead is attached directly to the tail rubber so you have an instant 'bolt' effect when the fish picks up the bait and is set so that the lead will slide free in the event of a line failure. Should I want to use a running rig I simply slide the link above the tail rubber.

Thanks for posting the pic.

That is a nice, simple and flexible rig. Good idea with the tail rubbers.

Only thing is lead can't pull free of the line if it gets stuck in weed - or can it?

What hooklink material is that Dave? There's a very aggressive angle of hook to the hooklink if you know what I mean.
