Had a quick browse of Angling Times in Tescos and saw a 18lb 8oz possible Thames record pictured on page 18. Apparently it was captured by an angler from the Isle Of Wight on half a tin on luncheon meat?

I get the AT every week, each to there own in respect to commercials, pleasure etc. But back to the 18lb plus Barbel................ well done that man.

I've been trekking down to the Thames all season and have only one lost barbel to speak of
