12ft Fox kevlar specialist rods.

Hi guys.

Wondering what sort of price these go for, in unused condition.
My uncle has a pair just standing in the shed! 😳
I know they're sort after & can be expensive. 🤔
I think, but don't quote me on this, I've seen them 6 years ago break the £250 260 range, but wondering if that's the limit on these?

I know it depends on who's buying & how desperate they want them etc...
Cheers

The Kevlar specialists seem to be more sought after than the Kevlar barbel rod, I bought 2 when they first came out, kept one and sold one a few years ago for a lot of money on an auction site….can’t remember the exact amount but it was enough to have a twin tip Harrison built for me, so guessing £350 plus. I would advise to stick only one at a time on an auction site as a buy it now for the top end of what you want to test the water, if no joy nothing lost put it on as an auction with a reserve…..wait until you get seller discounted fees too. Don’t put both on at same time as you rarely see the specialists so one at a time should generate a decent bidding war. Good luck, lovely rods BTW but not as nice as a hand built Harrison IMI!

Cheers Alan!

All sound advice mate, and something that I normally adhere to when selling. Nice one mate. 👍

Mint examples with all original quiver tips and bags should have no problem obtaining £300.
People just go mad for them.
Personally I don’t see the appeal. Lovely rods yeah but they ain’t a patch on the drennan bowlers imo.
I’ve never understood the reasoning behind the prices they command. Great if your selling I suppose

Me neither, but I guess people went mad for the looks? 😂
Yeah I beleive they're still in the black tubes they were originally supplied in, with all the correct quivers etc. 👍

They’ll make a mint Julian
Unused Kevlars are like RHS.
If they were mine, I’d play the long game with them. I’d put them up on eBay (after accepting an 80% fee reduction offer) as a matching pair and I’d put them up as collection only £700.00….. no ifs, offers or buts! Where else is anyone going to get another chance at a set of those so……
They won’t go quickly and you’ll get loads of time wasters and dreamers asking to post them and come down in price but stick to your guns, don’t give an inch and the right buyer will make the trip with the right money.
👍🏻
