11ft feeder/avon rod required

Graham Hunt

Senior Member
Hi

I would like a rod which meets the following specifications:

11ft (could be 10ft but not 12ft)
2 identical length pieces with quiver on
quiver tips of 1oz and 2oz (ideally glass)
Not "heavy" or "power" - it's for close in river work.

Any recommendations?

Cheers Dave - that looks very close to the part! Only concern is the "power" tag which seems to be de rigeur these days for puddle pig fishers. Have you got one, or had a wiggle?

I've got a preston carnonactive c-series feeder rod which is a brilliant rod but is three pieces and is a proper pain for my kind of fishing where I want my rod ready to go on my quiver, so that rules out the TFG rod.

Haven't tried it Graham.
Yes,..everything seems to be either turbo mega or power nowadays.
Did you have a look at the Hardy Marksman supero bomb rod?
£269.0 though!
dt:)

Steve

Is it 2 piece including the quiver? Do you know what t/c the quivers are?

Graham

The quivers on the 1.25lb test curve are 1oz and 2oz.

It's two piece with the quivers being inter-changeable, with the option of it also being Avon-only, so effectively three different tops.

I use it for small river chubbing.

Graham I have a TFG River and Stream 11ft 1.2tc avon top plus a quiver section with a 2oz quiver great little rods nice and slim. I want £70 posted.
It's pretty much new apart from on small blister in the lacquer (5p sized) common in the early TFG rods. If anyone on here has had one they'll know how nice they are.

Seen initial post looked to me what you were after never mind.

Garbolino super g bomb rod. 10ft. Glass tips of 1/4oz and 1/2oz.
Decent price and not covered in grotesque graphics. Nice mellow action but power in reserve for yond old esox.

Bobco have deals.

Steve.
