Brand new and completely unused 11 Foot Torrix 1.75 built by Mark Tunley. Un glossed finish, black whippings, Fuji carbon 1k reel seat, 20mm Kigan 3D ringing (double on butt then singles throughout). I ordered a pair but only need 1!! These rods arrived only this week and I paid £650 for the...
This had been on my mind all week, accentuated by the fact that I fished the same stretch for 2 seasons. Didn't know Steve but sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Awful news :-(
It was me that sold them Clive. I couldn't believe it either! Put the money towards a Mark Tunley 1.5 Chris Holley Rover rod. Now that's nice, but the action of those Fox rods was superb. Prefer the tarty new rod though :D
Ditto! A week ago it was 15 degrees and I was licking my lips at the prospect of 3 days off this week on the river. And to top it off I now have an oil leak on the car and can't go anywhere until I get it fixed on Monday.
Hey ho, at least we have Jeremy Kyle
Hi chaps,
With the final week upon us, I was wondering who is going to be mad enough and brave the freezing weather we are due? I had 2 days booked off for a final fling on the Loddon but looks like I've booked it a week too late!
Devastated doesn't even begin to describe my misfortune :(
I am still using my 15 year old original Wavelock brolly with metal ribs! I have looked at countless replacements but I still stick with this because it's still almost faultless and still completely waterproof. It's certainly not light and the pole isn't removable but at 50 inches it's still...
I am selling this Fred Crouch Jet 4.5" Aerial centrepin which has only been used a few times, so in lovely condition.
I paid £135 for it and am looking for £70, posted.
Hi guys,
Does anyone have one of these? I'm looking for a nice reel of this size for both trotting and lead work and this is probably what I will go for.
I know they do the standard width and the wide version. Can anyone tell me the width of the wide drum version?
Many thanks,
Neil
Back in the day, I remember stopping off at Macks cafe, on my way to the Kennet. I still do now but, back then, all they sold was the Daily Sport or the Sun. They also sold fags. It was Benson & Hedges or nothing.
That was also when you could bag 25 unpressured barbel in a day!
Sadly...
So, tell me......have you had these multiple personalities for long? Are there other personalities you may reveal later? Are you sometimes an otter, or prince Charles possibly? If that last were true, it also would explain a lot. Being reminded first thing every morning what a tw@t you have been...
So is it high pessure or low pressure that makes the little fishes jump on my hook? I'm confused now.
Let's start again from the beginning. Sam, can you please explain the pressure thinggy again?
Thanks :D
This is like a science lesson. One of the best sessions I have had in recent seasons was when I had to scrape the ice off my windscreen and go fishing in the snow. If you're on the bank you have a chance of catching.
Maybe I just get lucky in 'unfavourable' conditions :)
If I analysed temps...
Have a look at the Columbia Bugaboot Omni Heat. I bought them after a recommendation on here, as I didn't want a wellie type boot and they have been perfect for me. Toastie warm tootsies!
