As per previous, how I mark my line.
I use a piece of pole elastic, tie it in to a loop, lasso it on to the main line and cut it to size.
Easy to tie with the rod in the rests and easy to pick off.
It would be interesting to read some fishery rules.
Taken from Reading and District rule book 'No member shall use any automatic striking device' open to interpretation I suppose.

I believe the original had the blended soft tip, easily distinguished by the very soft top 10 inches, like the Steve Staynor Barbel Master.
Expensive to produce thus quickly discontinued.

A few years ago I bought a rod from Damian Kimmins, a North Western Carbon Kevlar Barbel Quiver 11ft 1.25 t/c
The rod is a twin top, 2 piece 11ft in equal lengths. An avon top and a spliced quiver top, fuji reel seat, cork handle.
I have a feeling these were made by a rod builder for...
