Braid all the way as for damaging fish sorry I don't believe this where ever I have fished in the world it's been braid but when it comes to the barbel well that's different lol

Hi John I'm on super stren which is a braid so thin and yet so strong best braid I've come across and when on the river or lake bed it sinks flat and yet just blends in £12 for 125m so it last me a few years :)
Most braid that is on the Market now in the uk is a big rip off as you get 20 or 25 meters for silly money go on line to American sites and get braid from there half the price for a top brand name and yet you get 100 meters plus :)
Do the sums and yet been using stren as my hook link and...
Drennan continental boilie hooks for me for the last 5 years and a dimond file so soon as it goes blunt just resharpen and away you go ive found that most of the time that works for me and its much quicker and cheaper ..Hope this helps John
