    Reels for trotting

Being a Shimano lover i turned traitor for my trotting reels, I now use a PRESTON CENTRIS 420. What a superb bit of kit, a Titanium shaft and Rotor, 7 bearings, a top clutch with a push button spool release, no more having to unscrew the top spool to remove it. It weighs in at just over 300g...

    Three piece barbel rods

The 4 piece barbel by Harrison is a gem of a rod, when set up it can be broken down to two equal pieces, it is a touch stiffer than the two section rod because of the added spigots and handles good fish in fast water. And if you do break them down for transit they could almost be carried in...

    New Year Resolution

Hi Sean, I hope I'm right in thinking that i checked your permit whilst you was fishing on the Dorset Stour at Throop, if that was the case perhaps once you have sorted out all your gear that is all over the place then find a good place to keep your car keys and permits, there was a big struggle...

    Sad News...Nick Fisher

I did meet Nick just the once on Throop and enjoyed a chat. I never knew some of his writing talents, he wrote scripts for Eastenders, Casualty and New Tricks along with numerous books, such a talent. R.I.P .................Sadly missed by many.

    Sad News...Nick Fisher

very sad news is Nick Fisher was reported missing in Dorset, the police have found a body as yet to be identified but it looks very likely to be that of Nick. Front Drag reels for barbel fishing with no baitrunner......

Hi Adam, Try having a look at the Preston Centris NT range of reels, Titanium parts, front drag and a spool that can be taken off with a push button instead of having to unscrew the top, they are not cheap but are a very good reel with an excellent service department. NT...

    Harrison 4 peice Avon

Hi Julian I did have one of these 4 piece Harrison Avon rods, it is slightly stiffer than the two piece Avon because of the extra joints, it can be folded down into two pieces with the tackle and rig attached, it is a matt finish, a great rod. I hope to receive this rod back in my possession...

    New footwear for winter recommendations

Check out MUKLUK Wellys they last for years and are cheap compared to lots of other makes. I have muck boots but these MUKLUKS are the warmest Wally boots I have ever worn and I have had them for many years.

    Korum’s customer care

I've had those clips go in the past, so i bought a pair, male and female, removed the female part and restitched on the new one. Pet shops or camping shops sell those type of clips. I remember having a defective spool of Daiwa Sensor line, it took over 3 months for a replacement.
