Shimano baitrunner st 4000 fb x2

They would be perfect size for 1.75 rods but not with 6oz leads as the reply above.

    Harrison gti and avons

I recently bought some 11ft 2.25lb rods, the bloke I bought them from said the were custom gti blanks. I did email Steve Harrison and he confirmed they probably were gti's. I just have nothing to compare them to. They are very nice rods, landed me big Thames Barbel and casting 4oz feeders mid...

Chimera 3 rod 2.25. First thoughts.

I use 12ft 2lb Torrix for Tench and find them perfect for the job, like you landing me big carp to 44.8. I use 11ft 2.25lb harrison gti's for bigger river Barbel, they are very through action and think they wouldn't have copped as well with that Carp.

    Tench helicopter rigs

If no leader them korda line saver bead with a qc swivel on then a large bore bead pushed over the top. Gives a bolt effect but is 100% safe as the top bead comes off and up the mainline.

SHIMANO Single handle conversion did you regret it ???

Bbetter balance i think, but in reality you don't wind that quick for it to make a difference.

SHIMANO Single handle conversion did you regret it ???

Cool, that's what I went for. Didn't know if there were other options. Not too keen on the plastic knob though, do you know if they can be changed?

What handles did you get? The ones on the baitrunner st4000.

Any thoughts on rod rings for a custom 11' torrix?

Personally I like the kigan 3d gunsmoke and matching anti frap tip.

    Shimano xr 5000

Does anyone have this reel and how does it compare in size to the 4000? Is it just spool depth or is the spool a larger diameter? Thanks.

    Daiwa spectron sm2 17 20

Had a waggle in the Garden, at 20ft it feels a bit cumbersome but 17ft perfect and very light considering its lenght. Going to try it at Throop in a couple of weeks.

So after months of searching I've finally found one. Mint and unused, still with plastic on the handle and a bargain. Well chuffed with this one!

    17/18ft float rod

Cheers mate but think I might hold out incase there is a 17ft Acolyte specimen rod coming. Won't really need it till the summer anyway.

    17/18ft float rod

Same, I hand the majority of my Chub and smaller Barbel with my 14ft acolyte when wading so don't think I'll have too much bother with a net and an extra 3ft rod. The only thing is what to do with a net whilst wading, usually it's in a tree behind me and I just carefully walk backwards to grab...
