I believe he did, and I think he had quite a few larger specimens. Did he fish the southern chalk streams ? Amazes me how the fish grow so large in those small streams/rivers! For many years i've fancied fishing on one of those lovely looking chalk streams, maybe one day 🙂.

Yes, but the fish hardly fit in the nets, I mean the tail half of the fish is often sticking right out same as the barbel in the opening post. So if its a bad thing to do with a barbel.....
