With a crucian on the other end as you can see the power hasn’t been touched, but soft enough not to bump fish off of the smaller verity. I love the rod for river fishing etc and it’s good. But I prefer my 1.5lb torrix if it’s tench and crucian fishing. Or if no fear of a tench smashing me up...

Herb before I started making my own was the only bait I used across carp and barbel, have used it on for barbel with good results. It is a very good of the shelf bait all handcraft baits are. In my opinion you will not go far wrong at all.

Yes and no, I use less homemade bait although sometimes more to make I don’t need half as much as the shop bought. It’s great fun Write down every thing you put in it and note the results.
