IMO Korum are creating products for problems that don’t exist.
Just get a bum bag (Trakker do a good mesh boilie one) and put your bait and bits in there. I always wear a hat when fishing so anything pointy just gets tucked behind my ears.
I’ve listened to x4 of them already as currently on hols in Portugal.
Really really, useful and loads of good tips.
I must admit I was a bit lost with the BAF one as didn’t understand half the stuff they were referring to !!!
Great heads-up. Just listened to the first one and half way thru the second and very interesting.
Love the tip about soaking rocks in liquids to get flavour in the swim. Very simple but effective.
I’ve been looking at their base mixes and the pricing is good. Nice they are transparent with ingredients too.
The “Fire and Ice” is the one I may go for but 10Kg is a lot to order if it’s not to my likening.
I started using JB baits last year and had 2 barbel over two sessions on the Warks Avon.
The main reasons I use it are as follows:
- I can whip up a 1-egg mix in about 15minutes meaning the bait is as fresh as it can be when I use it
- I’m 95% confident that no one else is using the same bait...
Don’t discount the Cadence CR10 15ft #2 rod too.
I was after a trotting rod that could easily land a double whilst light enough to manage a float down a small river (Warks Avon).
Been roped into joining a 1acre carp lake locally and struggled to find any decent carp rods that I liked. Too much choice and ironically the best blanks I came across were the ones on the £45 Advanta rods !!!
Came across a rod builder in Wales and he’s just built these for me.
11ft 2.25lb...
I have a few pins but this is the easiest one to live with and looks the business.
Bang on budget and it is so easy to use as you can twist it 90degrees and cast like a normal reel.

I won’t lie, I do buy the odd thing (mainly large items when comparing brands) from AD but they are crippling independent tackle shops as they can drive down pricing with their bulk purchasing.
Support your local Indy otherwise we will have nowhere to buy our bait from in years to come.
I’ve had 8-12lb in the Warks Avon but nothing smaller (which is a shame).
These have been nearer the Warwick area vs. Harvington / other popular places
Does anyone have a number for Bob (the rod) Davies at all please they would be happy to PM me ?
I have a friend who’s lost his number and he has retired from the AD store in Brum.
