I've renewed recently without an issue. I think there was a glitch in the Clubmate app and members were asked not to try and renew before a certain date. Unfortunately I don't think everyone saw the message so they were still trying to renew and were experiencing problems.
I also enjoy the quality and variety of the films on Fishflix, but they've just announced a price increase from £7.99 to £9.99/mth. I may become a dip in dip out watcher from now on.
I've got a Sonik Specialist Xtractor 10', 2lb test for similar reasons to yourself. I've caught a few barbel and chub with it and it appears to be a very capable rod. With the telescopic butt section it packs down to a very manageable length for moving between overgrown swims.
Barbel Under the Bridge and Where Amber Waters Flow are both excellent reads. One giving an insight into a period of barbel angling history by an angler who was there catching many memorable fish which may never happen again. The other a fishermans barbel journey on many rivers which I have now...
Hi John
My delivery arrived today, it was four days later than estimated but I think that was more to do with Evri the courier than Pecheur themselves.
I did have call to contact them with regard to the late delivery and they were good at getting back to me promptly.
Hope that allays any...
I'll let you know how I get on as I've been in similar circumstances to yourself, can't find the reel I want elsewhere but they have it in stock, so bit the bullet and ordered two from them. Delivery expected in about a weeks time, fingers crossed.
I bought one approximately eighteen months/two years ago for particular swims on the D.Derwent. It's very robust and has hauled a few chunky barbel to the bank. The net I can't help you with I'm afraid as mine is paired with a collapsible Korum spoon.
Have to agree my Korum digitals are great. I replace the battery every so often (£2.00 but always carry a spare) but I suppose fishing the D. Derwent my batteries may also be classed as non consumable, I hope. Either that or I am really bad at fishing 😁.
I wouldn't say grip is their strong point Steve. For general walking to the swim they're fine, I walk about 3/4's of a mile sometimes more to some swims on the Derwent through long grass and comfort wise they're surprisingly good. When the bank is particularly gooey I do now fit some crampons to...
I've tried lots of the more expensive wellies and have been dissaponted either through longevity or cold feet. To go with my Altberg walking boots I've now got a pair of Navitas thermal wellies, very warm and comfortable, easy to walk in and the best bit only £35.00!
