    Why Korum, why?

I loved their original 1..75 Neoteric rods, but i've been disappointed in the direction they have chose since.

10 ft cadence 1.5 tc rod

I bought the package Jamie and sold the reel cheap. it was good for the buyer and myself, so reduces the price and enabled the buyer to buy the reel cheaper. Both benefit.

10 ft cadence 1.5 tc rod

I bought one last season and ive only used it twice and very impressed with it. For the price i would advocate buying one.

    Speedia ratchet pin

Its sound a bit too complicated Haydn, but thanks for your input anyway. It sounds like its best left alone.

    Speedia ratchet pin

I have Rob but the pawl doesnt engage the cog properly for some reason. Ive ordered a new pawl to see how that goes.

    Speedia ratchet pin

Thanks Haydn, thats how my pawl is sat. On fly reels you can turn the pawl around so the ratchet is stronger with line going out, so i thought it would be possible to do the same with the Speedia. Thanks again.

    Speedia ratchet pin

Sorry, thats what i meant the pawl/pin. Ive turned it around but its not engaging unfortunately. I'll buy a new pawl if any one can recommend some where to buy one from? Thanks

    Speedia ratchet pin

Ive just purchased a lovely conditioned Speedia which seems to have had the ratchet set for right hand retrieve, but when i turn the pin over it doesnt engage the cog properly. Is this normal for the Speedia as there is no signs of wear on the ratchet pin.? Thanks Dave

    SORTED! 11’ Torrix 1.75

Looks great Alan 👍. Out of interest, do you use your narrow Speedia for barbel? If so, how do you find it? Thanks.

How far North do barbel live

The Wear fish are just below Durham with Ban the Bomb pool being a favourite for them. I fish the Tees for them at Bowl Hole and take a few out each season and it gives me more satisfaction than catching Swale or Nidd fish. Problem is, its a bit of a hike for me now so i fish the Swale more...

How far North do barbel live

As far as i'm aware Chris, barbel are not indigenous to the Tees and It also receives stockings of barbel by clubs, one being Darlington Brown Trout.

Calling all users of Ray Walton Rolling Pin Reel!!

Yes it locks into position enough to keep it stable in the casting position. Ive used mine four times and it does hold its position without any problem at least when i hooked a a carp of about 8lbs, it showed no signs of moving at all. I love this reel and ive took to it more than any other reel...

    Why Korum, why?

I was referring thats where Korum may get there ideas from, not just this particular item. The Chinese come up with all sorts of weird things.
