    Flavouring bait....

The book is Fantastic Feeder Fishing - cracking book but have a pen and paper next to you when you read it because otherwise you get idea overload. Frank Warwick's Every Bit of Blue is another good read in that respect.

    Lidl garlic sausage

Hi Graham, I agree that the last thing we need is yet another do fish feel pain discussion but when I am asked how I would like it if a hook "was being yanked into your mouth" I felt it inappropriate not to answer. All I said at the outset was that I also used size 2 hooks occasionally. Ian...

    Lidl garlic sausage

Well, I'm not sure where to start here? Yes, I would have issues if a hook was yanked into my mouth but I'd struggle even more with the breathing underwater thing because - and I suspect you already know this - I am not a barbel. If you have ever caught a barbel you will notice that it pulls...

    Fishing a low stocked water

On low stick venues I become very Goldilocks in my assessment of conditions and tend not to bother unless they are just right

    Making your own bait.

I seem to recall using peach flavour along with the fish feed inducing oil with the original Premier Baits base mixes - buying it from Geoff in the car park of the Chequers. Those were the days…. Cracking bait too
