Iam a lead maker👍 I’d say for a small scale lead pour a camping stove would be fine, a small milk pan the one with a pouring spout is perfect. a ladle to skim the slag off. Make sure you pre heat your moulds this will help greatly with the pour. Good gloves I use the welders type ones, goggles...
Watched the first series to see where I was going wrong and to see where I could make any improvements😉
The only thing I could see that would help was having a two Michelin star chef🤣 as you can see I could do with one🤣
Most carp reels / bit pit reels have manual closing bail arms🎣 design to stop you cracking off on the cast by accidentally closing the bail arm👍
Smaller reels I believe still close on the turn of the handle🎣
Spot on bill👍 hemps expensive some places it’s north of 40quid for 25kg there not much weight gain after the soak and cook so they bulk it out with cheaper seeds🎣 at least when you cook you own you get what you what 👍
We purchase our own dry particles and cook ourself🎣
and at there prices there quoting they must be running at a loss after costs ie gas, wholesale price delivery to them delivery to the consumer, premises, staff if any, marketing etc.
There’s certainly some great tried and test baits out there. I could easily pop into the tackle shop and make a purchase or two.
But I make my own baits👍 I makeup my own basemix, For me It adds another dimension to my fishing experience🎣 their almost all I use apart from the tried and tested...
I’ve got the korum triangle folding but the arms bend/bent very easily 🙄
So I replaced the arms with heavier gauge aluminium form a redundant net👍
Much better more robust 🎣
incidentally I’ve just got another net a Shakespeare skp latex net it doesn’t fold but it’s tough and light 🎣
Me and my sons usually all chip in and buy a couple of 25kg bags of pellets🎣 once opened there zip tied and stored in dustbins. They last ages like that, we use them ground up to a powder for use in mixes, scalded for paste, in pva bags etc. I’ve still got some part bags from before the covid...
With rumours of a 6lb tinca gracing the bank i returned to our little club lake yesterday afternoon for a couple of hrs. I settled into a peg I fancied and set about tempering the resident tincas. The carp were shoaling up doing what fish do😉 so I did hold much hope. But perseverance payed off...
What with work commitments and spawning fish we gave the little lake a rest, and tried another club lake. Sadly nothing on the tinca front just a small carp, the same for my son. The highlight of the day was a swam of bees passing my sons peg, Usain Bolt would have been second. 🤣
Hope to give...
