I’d based my intentions around the daylight captures seen on Nick’s Korum film. I’ll have to rethink if it only delivers in the dark now.
I suppose it may also depend on tactics. I was planning on the groundbait feeder approach with maggot rather than pellets / boilie.
Exactly the video that inspired me Tim!
I’ll be honest and admit the location aspect and spodding is quite daunting having fished exclusively on small rivers forever but that’s part of the allure too.
Thanks Daniel. I appreciate the reply.
I’ve seen about the heavy baiting requirements so looking at a cheap spodding setup. Fishing stillwaters, at range and with such tactics is very alien to me, but like I said I want to diversify a bit and try and tick off some more species.
This is quite a big departure for me as I’ve always observed the closed season and used it as a break from fishing.
However, I’m not getting any younger and have many things to tick off fishing wise - one of them being a ‘big’ Bream.
Having watched a few videos and read a few articles...
You will get as many replies as a bait thread 😀
As Barry P says Ridgeline clothing is good quality - I’ve got a gillet and fleece from them.
For trousers I went with Harehill. I’ve ended up wearing them for fishing, gardening, long walks and general messing about. They make a waterproof pair...
As per the title - I’m looking for a pair of SS2600s for Tench and Bream duties.
Ideally factory spec but not against some customisation (Weston etc)
Please send a private message if you have some on offer
Thanks Tim. Always good to hear the experiences of others.
I’m currently thinking of trying for a 2lb fish from Scotland, Wales and England to keep me occupied for the rest of the season.
I’ll definitely check out that Frome stretch too.
As above. Looking for one of these (complete with supplied glass quivers) to make a pair for Chub and Perch duties.
Based in Surrey - I can collect within reasonable distance or consider postage if not excessive.
Send a PM if you have one available.
Thanks
R
As you’ve seen, you’ll get a different reply from each person who replies. It will depends on budget, fit, features etc.
For what it’s worth I concur with Mark and have been using a pair of Lowa Zephyr Mk2 GTX for a couple of years for both fishing, walking and general duties. Very comfy...
