    Waterproof Bite Alarm

I found out the hard way with a Delkim TXi about a year a go. They definitley dont like being dropped in the edge of a lake.

    Night Fishing

I thought I was snagged first then it started pulling back rather hard, gave me a great scrap. I let it rest for a couple of minutes when it was in the next before taking it out of the water. I don't think I've ever seen such an immaculate fish giving that I'm from a carp background and used to...

    Night Fishing

Thanks Pete I had read what you said about catching on very little bait and had thought about trying that, maybe just a tiny PVA bag with half a dozen pellets with maybe just the odd one or two dropped in every so often.

    Straight eyed hooks

    Colouring-in hooklengths.

Well, I've had a look and decent marker pens are 3 or 4 quid each so I might aswell just make some rigs out of the Pallatrax braid.

    Colouring-in hooklengths.

Very good point about the superglue, that must have some pretty nasty stuff in it. I have got some of the Pallatrax braid to which is more of a natural colour but I was just using a spool of Merlin up first. What I have done though is rub a little tungsten putty through it as it makes it...

    Colouring-in hooklengths.

Hello I've got most of my rigs tied up on 12lb Kryston Merlin which is a fairly bright white and green colour and this looks fairly blatant when in the water. I had the idea of colouring in the material with some darker colours eg black, dark brown, dark green just to try and camouflage...

    Hello newbie.

Thanks Mark and Nick. I had one session at the Old Mill about 3 weeks a go and blanked however really enjoyed it but I just felt so limited there with not a huge amount of water to have a go at and at £14 a day it was soon going to become costly so I joined Wasing. I'm looking forward to...
