    Fish Flix

Hi, I have a problem with Fishflix, I joined on Sunday, it worked at first but now doesn't recognise my log in details and the re-set links don't work, no response to the linked email address either - anyone else had any issues?

    Hexagraph

Hi Barry, the rod I have is about 11 1/2ft , I have no idea as to the test curve - it's not light I would say 1.75 or heavy 1.5 does anything in the catalogue sound like that? As a by, having had your blacks from Simpsons do you know Dave Brown (Dave the rod) or Roger who used to build all of...

    Hexagraph

Hi Colin, just saw your reply, sorry nothing to do with Essex Floats, my friend used to build/repair the rods for Simpsons in Turnford and had a lot of blanks from them when they were taken over by Angling Direct - I have to sort his garage out for him this week - who knows what is hiding in there!

    Hexagraph

Hi - a rather random question, is there any way to find out what blank/test curve a hexagrams rod is, I have been offered one by an old rod builder friend and have no idea what it is! Thanks

    Korum Omega rods

Hi Mark, a bit late to the party, I have a pair of the 1.75's, I used them on the Trent on Wednesday, they happily chucked a 3oz loaded feeder most of the way across using 12lb line. Hope that helps! Lost one at the net but that's not the rods fault!!

Mark Tunley 1.75lb Dark Carbon - Custom

Testing the water really with this one, I am thinking about selling my 1.75lb Dark Carbon rod, this was made for me with burgundy whippings instead of the standard black (I have thing for this spec!). I has the SG Atlas SiC 20mm ring set and is in perfect condition. I have used is a few times...

    Car for fishing

Hi all, a bit of a left field question really, does anyone use a Skoda Yeti for fishing - just wondering it would hold 12ft rods? Looking for a smaller car as I am restricted by the parking I have and the Yeti's size looks great but not sure about the interior dimensions. Any advice welcome, thanks.

    Advice for River Severn

We ended up fishing the Eardington stretch and did pretty well under difficult conditions, over 2 days we had 13 barbel and 7 chub, hope that the other fishermen in the hotel did better after we left!

    Advice for River Severn

Thanks John, I take it that we won't need a lot of weight for leads or feeders if this is the case, is it worth going a little lighter for leaders 8 instead of 10 or stay safe? Hopefully it won't be quite as hot at the start of next week!

    Advice for River Severn

Hi, after a bit of advice on the Severn, we are visiting on Monday and Tuesday next week, having never fished the Severn before we have joined the BAA and plan to fish their stretch at Hampton Loade - any advice on this or recommendations as to an alternative stretch would be greatly...

    B & B near the Trent

Hi, after a bit of advice, looking to take my son and one of his friend (in their 20's) for a trip to the Trent, probably in September, again probably either Fiskerton or Collingham (not the weir!) as it has to be day ticket, neither have fished for barbel before and have limited experience want...
