    Perch

Reading through this thread has got me itching for the winter so I can have a proper crack at the perch. Found a couple of local waters with some nice perch in, so I won't have to travel like last winter:) Hoping to beat my best from last winter of 2lb 1oz:)

    Rudd

Going to have a bash for a specimen Rudd tomorrow, would love a 2lber but anything over 1lb will be very pleasing. Has anyone had much of a go for them yet and if so did you do any good?

    tench fishing

Hoping to have an evening at the Tench on my syndicate lake. The Tench in the lake are pretty unfished for but have been caught to over 7lb by the carp lads. It's a clear and weedy gravel pit so i'm planning to try and find some deeper margins and rake a spot clear before float fishing over it...

Hooks - Nearly as dear as a Gallon

Oh I agree with you, lets face it you put the word "carp" on an item and it instantly increases the price by 3x. However many of the better hook patterns out there are these ones, and after everything it'd still be happy to pay 35p for a hook that I knew wouldn't let me down. As it happens...

Hooks - Nearly as dear as a Gallon

To me the most vital thing in any rig we put out is the hook, i'm quite happy to pay 35p for each hook if it lands me that special catch and doesn't let me down:)
