    Unusual or embarassing moments

Howard, 1 fish carrying size 8 hook and small amount of line. Everything held on the attempted cast, I just looked like a clown. Jon

    Unusual or embarassing moments

Whilst chatting to a bailiff on a new club water I recently joined today, I attempted a 40 Yd cast with a 5oz feeder.... With the bail arm still over. He didn't say so, but I reckon he's labled me in the noddy category. Thought I was going to make ammends by showing another of the clubs...

    Budget Polarised Glasses

Any recomendations? I have some Maui Jims that were brilliant glasses, but after 3 seasons they are too scratched to see through, so don't really want to pay that much again. Have given myself £40 budget Cheers Jon

    Korum 2013 chairs

Can't fault the prestige lightweight recliner I"ve had for 2 years, still going strong even after a large stupid animal (horse) spent time stamping on it on a yorkshire river bank.

    The Predation Action Group

Pete, excellent post. I must say I find some of the anti-otter propaganda out there, quite disturbing. Carp defence League? Is this serious? When has there ever been more carp, big and small, in the country then there is now? UK Carp anglers have never had it so good, they really haven't...

    frog hair fluorocarbon

Best fluoro I've used. 11.5 for normal or 13.2 for snag fishing. Strong and supple.

    shimano or fox

Looks alot like a cheap fladen I had and used for years abit plasticy and a poor anti reverse, but the clutch- front and baitrunner were superb, it didn't have any neon lights though!

    Marlin and other sport fish

You must be using the wrong baits Mike you want to float fish a live freshly caught Burbot anywhere between the sign and Linton Lock.

    Best fishing books?

The Barbel Catchers Club book(the second one), concerning different English barbel rivers is very readable, think it might a available from this site? Yates' how to fish concerns perch, not his best (the deepening pool and casting at the sun) but is very readable, not as a how too, but for...

    Keeping warm !!

You must remeber that alot of posters on here are from south of Sheffield Mike. Those from North of this will be ok with an extra pair of socks and a jumper during the 'colder' months.
