Some of the comments from Anglers are cringeworthy to say the least.
My favourite was 'carp are at risk of becoming an endangered species'
Hope all the those threatening licence boycotts get hefty fines if they do so.
Thanks Clive, but think it may be a little light in action at 1.25. It'll be used for stopping barbel in Snaggy swims. Probably worth a look though, will check if out.
I'm pretty sure now it is double legged eyed, 55quid delivered looks good. Think I'll find a shop that sells both the royals...
I kind of dismissed the duo light Dave. Thought it might be a bit beefy with it being a twin tip with the other tip being 2.25 test, but may well have a look at it.
Its for Nidd/Dearne mainly. Using a twelve foot Greys xflite with either quiver or 1.5 tip in, fine powerwise for the dearne...
I just missed out on a peregrine gti on ebay that went for around 80, suppose I'll hang around for a bit and see if any deals come along.
And if not go have a look at the fox rod in a shop.

Wanting an 11footer for smaller rivers. Must have double legged eyes throughout.
Does anyone have this rod and can confirm it has double legged eyes, and if you'd recommend it.
Any other recommendations? 11 footers seem to come in very cheap or probably out of my price range (peregrine...
Exactly right.

I've seen a very tame Otter in the river calder in Wakefield city centre this season, not at all bothered by me and several others on the bank in the middle of the day. No way, to me this creature hadn't been at some stage in mans captivity.
I'm not a hater of Otters, I honestly believe there...
My first Trent double was caught on a bunch of hair rigged cockles, only tried them a couple of times but had a few skimmers too, always said I'd try them again but have never got round to it yet.
Got to be worth a go.

I have a Prestige lightweight recliner.
Used it for 4 years and counting, its light (ish at 3.6 kilos) reclines to your desired level, has a strap, good solid adjustable feet, is comfortable and is hard wearing (had a horse stamping on it, whilst folded up in its first year of use without...
Rewatched 'Barbel...Even closer' at the weekend and enjoyed again. Some great underwater footage and some top advice from two very proficient barbel anglers.
Though there was only 2 up close and personal DVDs but may be wrong.

To be fair my localist barbel river, is the Calder in Wakefield.
This stretch often has gangs of kids setting fires act, eastern Europeans getting drunk, Asians chucking there household waste straight into the river, dog walkers letting there animals loose on the banks, ect. I fish it...
