    Hi Neil,Is that the hi s big water 2.25 or the 2.75.. I have the basia 2.25s and the 2.75s and would say they are both slightly over the test but not below 2 and 2narf. But very very capable, and excellent blanks..

    Regarding line ratings and casting weights etc, I believe they are only ever a guide to reassure the angler. As Richard states they are mainly " made up bollocks". Better left to the angler to dictate , in their specific angling situations. Like many others, I've given my fs hi s 15ft alot more...

    Hi Steve, although I've not seen said weir, I would approach it with 6oz open end feeders with most of the holes taped up and the bottom end also...and then plug the top with a really sticky mix. You then have 2 attractions . And can switch through baits , I e. Maggot, pellet, boilie. Etc Good...

    I'm not sure, but the dissolved oxygen level, according to our fishery officer. Is lower during darkness than in the daylight, lowering as the light fades. so if you think you're doing the fish a favor by fishing later till dusk. Your actually not....

    Have you tried the seaguar grand max, better abrasion resistance and thinner for its breaking strain. I used soft plus for years for match barbel fishing, but then tried the grand max and found it even better..
