    My opinion is mixed about the Electro Samsons. The first set I had were faulty - they would zero OK, but then the indicated weight climbed steadily, e.g went from 0:00 to 2:13 in 30 seconds. They were replaced. The replacement was OK, but I hadn't had it long before it got nicked along...

    An alternative approach: I bought a couple of pairs of Karrimor boots from Sports World on Monks Cross, York. Something like £15 per pair. Comfy, warm, waterproof. If they last more than a season - bonus! They've actually lasted 3 years so far.
