Will, I assume that the video features the poster known as Andy Youngs on FishingMagic
Some of his other videos are still up, example here
also posts on canoeing web sites as here
Some waders will need two sizes bigger than usual, dependent on the thickness of the bootie. If you are buying "wading boots" these are sometimes sized for thick booties and sometimes not. Best to try on some boots to see.
My Wychwood waders require walking boots to be two sizes up from usual...
These ones on Amazon look pretty good.
The Bearclaws look like they would be the business on rocky bottoms, but at my age I wouldn't want to be wearing them up and down the banks of the Teme! I like a bit more support.
Studded waders also make a lot of noise underwater, not a problem on larger...
Just use cheap trainers in summer and cheap walking boots in winter. Get vibram soled ones if you can. I got a decent new pair of boots, with vibram soles that have done the business for over a year now for £25.00 from e bay.
Much better when walking along lots of muddy banks than felt soles...
Thanks for organising this Nathan:D. Happy Xmas.
I'm really hopeful I will be able to get along.
Nice blog by the way. I didn't know the Severn fish came from the Enbourne, always thought they were from the Kennet itself; now got a good bit of pub trivia for Severn anglers in the future.:)
Not wiped Paul...your signature adds the most value I understand......I have already spoke to someone who says he will see you soon so unwiped and well remembered hopefully ready for next years auction.
I have a vague recollection of seeing that TOTP's. Used to generally avoid it, but when...
A new one is going to cost £300 +
This looks in great condition from the pictures. I've seen Hardy ones go for silly money on E bay, so it may be worth listing it. The alternative is to go along to one of the antique tackle fairs. If you know Gary Mills, he's a good bloke to ask as he tends to...
Labour had John Smith and Robin Cook, both of whom I knew slightly and both decent blokes, although whether they would have remained so if they ever achieved great office we will never know because of their early deaths. The new breed all look like they work in public relations (as indeed most of...
That copy, once signed by Jermey Wade and perhaps Paul (although that may be more difficult:D) will be going in next years BS R&C auction.....it shows the benefit of the E bay Saved Searchs button.......two others listed at the same time, went for over £100.
I hadn't thought of that. Good point and rather cheered me up. Such iniatives are great stuff.
Sorry about hat Dave, put it does put Cameron and whathisname into perspective doesn't it, just can't work up the same amount of dislike...yet;)
I hear what you say Lawrence and I was one of those youngsters as a pleasure/specialist angler who used to clear up the mess left after matches down on the Severn in the seventies and then spend my time removing size 22 hooks from barbel with hardly any fins left after some of the matches!
The...
Your club may be an exception and I belong to the WSP a club with no match fishing ever on its waters. However the costs are far higher than most clubs as a result.
Clubs like the BAA were formed by match anglers and run by match anglers in the main. They were able to provide a massive amount...
Ah...the good old days. As I was telling Steve only the other day, a Kinver stretch of the canal was the very first bit of water me and my mates where kicked off from for fishing without a permit! Only 12 at the time and this is back in 19??, everything was in black and white and most of my...
Depends entirely on the sort of fishing you want and the cash you have to do it.
The BAA are cheap. Got loads of water, some is very good, but selling day tickets to all comers has considerable disadvantages for regular anglers. However this is what keeps the price down.
The White Swan...
