Hard one this, as Iam lucky enough to within 5-10mins drive of two great rivers the h/Avon & d/stour. But if I had to choose it would be the d/stour. I’ve had some fantastic days and memories fishing this great river.

Another vote the esp synchro, I’ve had no problems use it in 10lb on the river 15lb carp fishing I think the b/s line test of the 10lb is approx 14lb and the 15lb is 21lb 👍

I was horrified to receive a call from my son a few weeks back. He was fishing the d/stour the level was up due to rainfall, he slipped down the bank and cracked a rib on a tree stump almost falling in the river. Luckily he’s on the mend. Iam very glad to here daves ok

I sometimes put some pellets into soak overnight just covered with water, I sometimes add extra flavours hemp oil chilli oil what ever take my fancy👍 Next morning need into a paste to wrap around my hook bait. If it’s to wet I add fish meal ground bait or ground up pellets. i make it in advance...

Hi Stephen I’ve caught chub on the northern specials unfortunately no barbel. The carp love them👍 Iam making my own bait at the moment with a dash of black currant flavouring Had chub and carp on them 🤞for a barbel.
