    heard of another like that today and when stripped down and lubed with 3in1 oil and re assembled went on for over 2 minutes, what oil are you using? Please dont say WD40! I only use sewing machine oil or krytox on all my reels and never any problems.

    I use wood dye in all my floats I make and it does them no harm at the time of staining. I use ronseal quick drying woodstain in antique pine and deep mahogany to get the effects above. then finish them off with a couple of coats of morrells waterbourne 10% sheen lacquer. ;)

    I have a youngs trudex, a rapidex and a match aerial to name but a few, and Im left handed and no convertion was needed for any of them apart from moving the removable line guard on the trudex to suit.

    knew it would be and unless your planning doing a lot of salmon fishing which I dont think the Ouse can sustain it would be a waste of money unless you were planning on heading north to more prolific salmon waters.

    1st thing robin ensure you get the correct rod licence as your coarse license only covers non migratory trout and not salmon, wouldnt want you to loose your gear 1st outing.

    steam mine for 40 minutes in 2 old steamers that way very little oil content is lost in the steaming process unlike the boiling of hemp. then simply tip into 1kg bags and freeze.
