I remember that thread well it was Nicepix who conjured up some ingenious bank side meals. I don't know his real name or if he posts anymore which is a shame.

Has anyone tried those electroninc hook tiers from dragoncarp? If they do a sterling job could be useful come winter when my fingers feel like sausages or in fact I don't feel them at all lol
Brian

I actually missed my Physics CSE exam in preference to the opening day 16th June on the Gade. Makes me wonder why I never made it as a scientist :p

Wow the Gade a blast from the past, I fished that lots when I were a lad lol Plenty of Chub and silver fish never heard of a Barbel in there. It joins the grand Union at the bottom of the Croxley stretch....

Yes fished it a few times... not very scenic as it runs through the city but holds some nice fish as is evident by Matts pic. I keep going for the scenic serene surrounds of the Wye. Must give it another dabble soon. Mattttttttttttttttttttttttttttt... lol

The bloody thing was closed last time I tried to drive across lol It may stop them for a few days lol but like you I have seen them and wonder how the hell they ever gonna land a fish from upon high.
Brian
Friars Balsam all the way. Careful as the stuff is really tacky if you get any on yourself. It also makes you look like a real heavy cigarette smoker as it stains and is very pungent too.
