I tried paste springs back last year although successful in catching fish the amount of times the coil snagged in the landing net and came unsprung was not good. I am not sure it could cause possible additional damage to the mouth of a fish. I have gone to plastic since. Brian

Try shaping some cork this helps counterbalance it too! I have the paste cages and they look ok to me. Brian

Just as a note! not wishing to raise arguments etc all coarse fish are cold blooded so this would mean all fish would be the same. We all know that Chub and Grayling will feed in the harshest of condtions. Just thought I would add that into the melting pot!
