I never met the man but I can say he seriously he impressed me as a man and an angler in his attitude and his angling skill.
I hope he plunders that big river in the sky.
Shocked
RIP Keith
I find the lightest possible feeder/lead you can get away with as when you lift the rod it comes off the bottom more vertically than with a heavier one.
ps I have lost my fair share of feeders to go with this on the Wye.

Welcome back Ray! Everyting I have tried on the Wye means one thing changing the hooklength a lot. The rocks and boulders make it hard going on anything you care to use.

I am just canvassing opinions on breathable waders. My neoprene ones have cracked and are letting in water. I have heard that the way to go is breathable ones. With other pieces of equipment the choice is varied in price and quality.
Suggestions please.
Cheers

I tried to take my German Short Haired Pointers fishing didn't go exactly to plan. I ended up tangled up in dog leads and stuff flying everywhere. I may need to tire them out first lol

I believe Barbel are crepuscular so feed dawn and dusk mainly, as ever when food is dished up to you on a plate would you turn it down in the daytime.

Has anyone seen the new Shimano Aero X 4000 FA reel? Pictures seem to indicate a very nice reel aesthetically and proclaimed performance improvements RRP £199 around £149 if you shop.
I may just have to have one :D
