    What makes barbel so special???

    - They are widespread enough to be viable for most - They grow large enough to be an impressive sight - They are a nice looking fish - They fight very well - They are easy enough to catch to make them exciting - They are hard enough to catch to make them engaging That said, it is...

    Hooklength length

That is the trade-off, Stephen. Stiffer hooklink, less dense hookbait, small PVA bag on the hook, the flow - can all help. Ultimately though it's a question of faith, or dare I say it, ignorance. Personally I've never gone above 5feet, four being the norm - a more manageable length.

    Fluorocarbon reel line?

And on the same chart, Catana 10lb has a very good strength to diameter ratio. Sinks very well too. Not a fluoro though

Home Cooked Hemp - How should it look!!

Must admit I don't have storage for prepared hemp, but the price of unprepared hemp on that site is good, and they have all the particles I'm interested in - unlike titmuss. Wish I knew about that place sooner..

Home Cooked Hemp - How should it look!!

Cc moores hemp is good stuff and doesn't sit on the shelves long. It doesn't have to split, in fact you could argue that boiling it to smithereens makes it less effective. Use with confidence.
