Without getting too ‘ political’ , I can’t help but wonder if is time our water companies were nationalised. Whichever way you look at it they are a disgrace. Never mind ruining a lot of our fishing they are simply endangering anybody who enters the river systems which appear to be polluted from...

Well Paul I haven’t given up yet and decided today would be a scouting mission for a few visits to the river when the season starts. The criteria is thus…..it has to be safe ( well ‘ish’ as nowhere is 100% safe’.) Access to parking has to be non four by four friendly ( I have a ‘normal saloon’)...

Hi Paul, I am in exactly the same position as you ( even down to the Knee replacement! ) . I will surely have the occasional session but ( like yourself ) I am content to have enjoyed the great experiences of the past. Good luck in all you do in the future. G.T.

My daughters diesel Juke was bought new but spent most of its life back being repaired at the garage. I realise this could be a ‘one off’, but the after sales service was poor also. Good luck.

Yes Cliff, such a shame that this stretch of the river will never be the same. Luckily I was able to fish it at it’s best. In truth I realised that this small piece of heaven was unlikely to last forever and I made the most of my time on the river. I still miss those days though, never to be...
