Nearly all the public who have pensions will have water company shares and enjoy dividends from these companies. How many people with pension funds actually bother to find out what shares are in their portfolios. ( The answer is probably none btw ).

At age 72 it is a sad fact of life that us oldies have to be more careful on the backside. This now includes giving ‘er indoors’ a written diagram of whereabouts I am Fishing as I fish on my own. Just common sense really.

I no longer fish the lower Severn regularly and was wondering if the size of the barbel were decreasing. Back ‘in the day’ doubles were not uncommon once ‘hot’ swims were located. This is bearing in mind that large areas were almost devoid of barbel.

I was asking about the advantages of nationalisation actually when Scottish Water is nationalised and crap ( apparently ) and the European countries Water Resources are similarly nationalised and crap ( apparently).

Awful as the sewerage overflow scandal is I wonder if it is ‘ small beer’ compared to the pesticides and other farm related issues that are killing the aquatic life in our rivers?

I am not an economist but I can’t help but wonder why no governments worldwide agree with your printing endless money being the answer to sound fiscal management .
You could always follow Zimbabwe and use a $100,000,000,000,000 note to buy some milk……
