Good to see you too Graham although we had forgotten about the launch and just popped in for a cool pint after a work party on St. Pats, which is looking lovely by the way!! That Wilson bloke looks younger every time I see him, it must be true that wealth and title extend a mans life ;)

    rod licence prices

That link is a rip off site, not the genuine EA, this is the genuine site https://www.gov.uk/buy-a-uk-fishing-rod-licence If it does not say gov uk somewhere in the URL, it is fake!! You will still get a genuine licence as they will buy it for you from the post office website but you are...

    Wanted-Long Shot BIC 252 Tender/Dinghy

Dave, unless you are tiny, with very short legs, the BIC boats are very, very uncomfortable to fish from, the seating height is similar to a kayak. You'd be better looking for a John boat or a portabote if you want something to put on the car roof.

    Big eel

A great specimen whatever the size, it is a good length for its girth, has real potential, I'll go to 5 :) Worth keeping an eye on in five or six years time if it stays in the water........eels can be very transient and don't get recaptured often.

    Big eel

I'm not suggesting foul play Derek, he is probably holding it as far from his body as possible for the reason you mention, it is obviously very close to the camera and hence the prospective looks weird. I would suggest looking at his right hand, it has a diameter of around 2 inches. The fact...

    Big eel

Having caught a 6 1/4lb eel, and having big hands, I have to say that is a long but very skinny eel, the captor is not far from touching fingertips of his right hand. Mine was a little shorter but a lot thicker, I would guess around 4lb to be honest It is also held very much at arms length
