    Arbour for Speedia

Someone posted on here with a file for injection molding one, there were versions for narrow and wide drum Speedias, perhaps the search function could locate it? I had my stepson do me one for my wide drum and not had any problem with it.

    All excited about the 16th?

I am the same Cliff, normally I'm eager to get to the river on opening day but this year the thought of possible interaction with other people is filling me with trepidation.

    Reel hunt

I had a pair of the Fox 10000 some years ago and was not impressed! I currently have a pair of Emcast 4000BR which I find ideal for my barbel fishing, they replaced my Shimano 3500B's and I've not regretted the change. I have a pair of Shimano DL4000FA which I use for my tench fishing, they...

    Cuda Braid Scissors 3" Micro

Dave, Keep chasing them, it took me weeks to get a refund claim number out of them after I turned down the open ticket option. When I reminded them that they had 7 days to issue a refund under EC261 this was the reply I got "Dear Customer Thank you for your email. We’re very sorry for the...

    Cuda Braid Scissors 3" Micro

Who were you flying with Dave? We were due to fly out April 27th with Virgin, still trying to get a refund from them, threatened to escalate if not done by the end of May and they haven't bothered to reply yet! Still hoping that our October trip may happen but more likely to be next year before...

    Angling Trust

Some of us have more pressing issues than getting fishing opened up, I have been writing to my MP to complain about the delays to prostate cancer treatment that have occurred due to Covid19. Despite Matt Hancock's statement early last week it is still a postcode lottery whether you get treatment...

    Close season plans

All clubs I'm a member of have put out closure notices for all waters, many people can't seem to understand that 'stay at home' was directed at EVERYONE!

    Waterproof jacket

I wouldn't trust any fishing branded jackets after several bad experiences, my current fishing jacket which is still going strong after 10 years service is a Crag Hoppers one.

    Best hemp?

Maltbys reply was that their courier (Whistl) had let them down, lost the delivery. I decided to cancel the order as I won't be able to accept delivery after today, got an instant refund. Hope I have better luck when I re-order!

    Best hemp?

Placed my order with Maltbys on September 16th, got a reply advising delivery between 19-23 September, the last few days the tracking site (Whistl) has been showing "in transit" but still not arrived. Just sent them email asking what is going on!

    Best hemp?

Just run out of my last sack and noticed Maltbys offering 25kg at a good price, anyone comment on the quality of their seed. Had some from GW Titmuss once before that was very poor so don't want to risk another bad batch that won't split

    playing fish without clutch

Having grown up using the likes of Intrepid Monarch and then Mitchell 300's I always played fish by backwinding as the clutches on those early reels were hopeless. Even today, although I have Shimano and Daiwa front drag reels with much better clutches, my first action on hooking a fish is to...

    Sweetcorn for barbel?

I have often found that corn works well as a daytime change bait in summer when you can't get a bite on anything else.
