Hi gents Does anyone have any experience with these bags. Looking for a bag that lays flat without being too large that I can also attach an unhooking mat to. Any opinions greatly appreciated.

Another issue with roving, is whether you feed a few swims along the way to come back to later, only to find someone else there! I think it’s called Sod’s Law. I do find that so many anglers don’t venture far from the car, so walking a mile or so if possible gets you away from others for a bit...

Like you I have all the tackle I need plus more yet I still check the classified ads and eBay! Why not treat yourself to a week away somewhere where you can enjoy using the tackle you have. I recently went to the Wye for a week which was special. Or join a few angling clubs .

Hi Alan There are 2 that I have seen on marketplace ( Facebook) One one them I had many years ago. Built by Mark Tunley and ideal for rolling meat. Seller is in Portsmouth and priced at £175. Beautiful rod that I regret selling.

A ruckall opens when placed flat. You still have the straps to carry like a rucksack

Thanks Gary but I’m after a ruckall not a rucksack. I have the Drennan rucksack but fancied a change.

Likewise at Symonds .. I can fish from the bottom of the garden so not far to go if the heavens open! tight lines 👍

I fished from 4-7pm and a few knocks on meat from a rod length out to third of the way out but nothing 😔 Try again tomorrow but I did notice a drop in temperature as the light faded.
