I don't think the tip on the MK2 is spliced in Huan. It's definitely not as soft as the MK1 though, the tip on the MK1 is almost like a quiver tip.

The main difference is the Mk1 has a spliced in soft piece of carbon in the tip, which cushions the affect of leaves and debris building up on the line, and helps prevent the pressure of the debris dislodging the lead.

The Mk1 Floodwaters are brilliant rods, and it's rare to get a pair together for sale👍
