    Happy New Year and .....

Happy New Year to everyone on here🥳 Here's hoping the conditions on our rivers stay favourable for the last 2 and half months of the season!🙏

The same guy also had a 19.8 two days before the 20.

    New record

That fish looks an absolute beast! Very well done to the captor👏👏 It seems to be a pretty special piece of the river down there, with the big fish it's producing. Hope it long continues!

    What bait?🤔

Frankfurter Spice is also good, agree about the boosted pots, whether it's the pellets, dumbells or cocoons. I've not tried the Cheese & Garlic but done very well this Autumn on the Squid & Garlic.

    Caravan on the Trent

Because it was in response to Simon's picture he posted, perhaps you would be better asking why Simon posted a picture of A1 pits on the thread about your caravan?

    Caravan on the Trent

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I was referring to the picture Simon Archer posted of A1 pits and how reminiscent it was of Collingham before they banned night fishing

    Caravan on the Trent

Looks like the halcyon days of Collingham! I suppose they had to go somewhere after they banned night fishing!

    What bait?🤔

Would you recommend a particular Vortex Baits boilie? As they do a few (CKO, Squid Liver Enzyme, Hydroshrimp and Cranberry, Frankfurter Spice etc)

    What bait?🤔

If you're thinking of going down the boilie route, I would suggest you have a look at the Sticky Baits Krill Active, as previously mentioned. It's a well proven year round bait, that's caught loads of Barbel off many different rivers over the years. They smell great too!😃 The key to whichever...

    Warm fishing jackets & trousers

I've just bought the Fortis Tundra Salopettes, they're not cheap, but you can tell are quality. They're extremely warm and waterproof too.

Repair to rod ring. Advice please

Graham Dave Bone has replaced 2 or 3 of mine where this happened and done a great job👍

    WANTED, floodwater setup 🤞🏻

The Daiwa Powermesh 2.25 tc and the Guru N-Gauge Specimen Barbel 2.25 tc rods are well worth a look!

Coming over from Ireland to fish the Wye. (Bucket list trip) . Any info appreciated

Hi Fergal Brockhampton has it's own Facebook page and website, there are some catch details posted on them. There is also a guy who does guiding on there called Ian Henderson, who will know the beats very well, it may be worth messaging him nearer to your trip to ask about conditions, how it's...

Korda camo bolt and run rigs,

So you attach the lead on to the run ring on the hook with the rubber sleeve. You tie the quick change swivel on your line and the fat end slides over the ring of the swivel. You attach your hooklength on the loop on the quick change swivel. Hopefully this explains it better

Korda camo bolt and run rigs,

Hi Dave Do you mean the Korum Camo Bolt and Run kits? If so, put run ring on line first, then thread the bead on pointy end first. Then tie on quick change swivel. The fat end of the bead slides over the quick change swivel.
