Those design seats may be ok for roving around a lake or pond but for rivers like the severn and other similar rivers most of us fish they would be utterly useless, i very rarely even use the back legs on my chair due to the mainly sloping banks

All my barbel rods,including the 3 i had off you mate are set up with reels, oh and 2 have the 4000d's i also purchased from you😉

I slide them down about a rod length out on the thames,usually very little flow its just to avoid all the bloody boats!!!

m - another question; when you say you feather the back lead down once your rig is in the water, how far from your lead does your back lead usually end up? I mean, can you cast mid river and have your backlead just a couple of rods out, or under your rod tip?

Yeah, I have one i use occasionally when 2 rodding and staying in one swim nice and light

I use single screw in storm poles with korum adjustable front rests paired with korum leverage butt screws for a pretty solid set up👍
