Roger. I've manged quite a few. I would fish Builth Wells Wye in preference to the Irfon. I would also include the Taff in Cardiff. Both have produced 2lb fish for me. There are lots of grayling in the Test and Itchen, but neither have given me a genuine 2lb fish yet despite 5 Itchen and 25...

Thought I would do a French trip whilst the faculties allow. Beautiful location with 14th century castle and moat on site. Very intimate, not the huge complex with lots anglers. Lake for 3 max. Just a pal and me. The grimace is strain of lifting on the cohones. 2 fish in 3 days. Both 47lb +.
