It's Hereford Match fishing 3 day event. That section fairly rare to get barbel that may be the 14+ that came out. There are more photos of nets of barbel caught in other sections. It is what it is.

I've used 20lb PP as a hooklink and then PP Super Slik 8 since it became available. No damage caused to fish on about 3000 examples. However the Spiderwire of years ago did not have a smooth or soft exterior feel and I would not have used that.
